This was our first sporting excursion of the year and our students had a wonderful and exciting day with Ms Eppelstun, practicum teacher Ms Beth New and Mr Barclay.
Senior students Faith White, Caprhyse Lawler and Holly Gilbert were exceptional mentors on the day, organising and encouraging our league tag teams.
The Under 16s side debuted the new sky blue playing strip and defeated Orange Anglican Grammar School in a close match 2-1.
They competed admirably in their other two games going down to Orange High School and a Mick Armstrong coached Kelso High School by one try in each game.
Stand out players of the day were Charli O'Byrne, Imogen Brenner and Taylor Keppie.
Both Under 14s teams participated with high enthusiasm and improved through the experience with each game they played.
The teamwork and sportsmanship exhibited by the girls was excellent and commented upon by NRL Development and their opponents.
Students who were stand out examples of these traits and our school expectations were Annabella Taylor, Brodie Tetley, Amber Taylor, Michelle Walker and Hayley Taylor.
