Lions District Mini Convention: Owing to the COVID-19 Restrictions, the Lions two and a half day District 201N4 Convention which was to be hosted by Young Lions Club was reduced to a mini convention held at Young on Saturday October 31.
It was wonderful to see around 50 members of the District come together to formalise the business of the District, present awards and to enjoy fellowship after a difficult year. Young will now host the N4 District Convention in 2021.
Lions Terry and Deidre Carroll represented the Grenfell Club at the mini convention.
Home again: The Grenfell Lions Club held their last meeting at the Railway Hotel on Monday October 19. Members were pleased to be back 'home' and welcomed and wished mine host Maurice Reynolds well in his new business. Maurice purchased the Railway Hotel "Moe's Tavern" and opened mid-October, where the Grenfell Lions Club are again running their Friday Night meat raffles.
During the COVID-19 restrictions Lions meetings are held monthly, with the next meeting set down for November 16.
