The under 14's kicked things off and the Woodbridge side full of talented Parkes players drew first blood with a 16 point win.
The under 16's was an entertaining affair, with both sides getting on the board in an exciting first five minutes.
Woodbridge looked the more organised of the two sides early on, though the Goannas were defending with fantastic enthusiasm and intensity, led by Makaah Darcy who was absolutely everywhere in both attack and defence.
The longer the game wore on however, the more dominant the Woodbridge forwards got, with Tahnee Purdie proving tough to bring down, often drawing multiple defenders.
Halfback Lily Holmes looked a class above as she both set up teammates and bamboozled the defence with her speed and agility, capitalising on a forward pack that clearly had the edge, size wise, over the Goannas.
The Goannas continued to play with great energy but it was just not enough, with the Woodbridge under 16's eventually emerging victorious by 16 points.
The sides reversed their fortunes in the under 18's clash, with the Goannas asserting their dominance from the kick-off, where they forced an error before a perfectly weighted grubber saw them get on the board in the opening minute.
Despite the early error, the energy and intensity between the two sides was palpable, and Woodbridge were able to hit back almost immediately after forcing a drop out before crossing easily out wide.
From there though, it was all the Goannas, with the boot of halfback Cass Ward proving to be too slick as she set up tries left, right and centre.
The game was halted for some time due to a serious ankle injury to Goannas player Daisy Burns, but fortunately her teammates were able to give her something to smile about, after recording a dominant 40 point victory.
The Goannas Opens remain undefeated after getting off to a fast start against a rejuvenated Woodbridge side.
Next week Woodbridge will take on the Cougars at Robertson Park.
