Ladies Bowls
Two games of pairs started to play on Thursday. Rodney O'Neill and Martin Lascala against Julie Wood and Mark McSpadden. Some good natured skylarking on the part of most participants and a bit of sledging from others.

An entertaining time all the same with the win going to Julie and Mark. In the other game Joy Murray and Alex Arentsen were playing Judy McAlister and Quentin Murray. They only played a few ends when they were joined by Ray and Rosemary Walter, who had their late pass which allowed entry.
Ray went into Quents' team and Rosemary into Alexs' team. This was a very even game, with Quent starting out as leader, but Alex managing to claw his way back. On the 17th end all was even, Quent and his team managing one shot on the 18th to take out victory. A very good game enjoyed by all. This week Joy Murray was the meat tray winner.
There was no Summer League played on Sunday as Young was conducting a competition. This has put the final back a week.
Please, all members attend the meeting to be held tomorrow, October 29, at 4pm. This will also be our AGM and there are decisions to be made for the next year. All positions are vacant for anyone willing to help with the Club. Due to children, work and health, Courtney will not be standing for President. We thank her very much for all she has done for the Club during this trying time. - Rosemary Walter
Grenfell Pony Club
Grenfell pony club had a rally on Sunday the October 18.
We had seven riders in attendance. We had Guest instructor Millie MacDonald attend and run through some showjumping with each group of riders.
All riders had a great time jumping their horses and showed some improvement under Millie's instruction, thank you Millie.
Meanwhile instructor Tania Heathcote introduced the children to a game played by many grenfell pony clubbers of the past the "sword race". She also taught some of our older riders how to shoot an arrow.
Our riders of the month this month were Alice Maslin and Camilla Metcalfe, congratulations girls.
