A GREAT CROP: Weddin Farmers Greg Parker and Bill Matchett are encouraging farmers to take part in the competition.

Its been a magnificent year for cropping in the Weddin Shire.

Despite no Grenfell Show in 2020, the Royal Agricultural Society Wheat Competition is going ahead.

The coordinators are looking for entries in this local field wheat competition with judging to take place in mid to late October.

The Coordinators are Greg Parker and Bill Matchett.

This year's judge will again be the well -respected agronomist Alan Umbers who judged the competition in 2018.

Sometime early next year there will be a function to celebrate the rewards of 2020.

There will be an opportunity at the end of the day for full and frank discussions at a meal with refreshments at a local venue.

This is a valuable opportunity for all croppers, particularly young farmers, to come together to share ideas and knowledge.

For further information or to find out how to take part please ring: Greg 0481 137460 or Bill 0428 478115 for further details.
