This Sunday at Lawson Park the Woodbridge ladies will kick off their Western Women's Rugby League 2020 campaign when they host the Midwest Brumbies. The competition is full contact 13 a-side tackle Rugby League. The Brumbies hail from the Mudgee/Gulgong area whereas the Woodbridge teams are made up of players from towns that are part of the Woodbridge Cup Competition and some other selected towns. Players from Forbes are able to represent Woodbridge or the Wiradjuri Goannas (Dubbo) and Cowra players are able to represent Woodbridge or the Orange Vipers and although Parkes are part of the Wiradjuri Goannas area there are a number of their players in the Woodbridge 13s,14s, and 16s due to the high player numbers at Dubbo.
