WOMEN'S BOWLS
A very windy start on Thursday for the Grenfell Women's Bowling Club but it improved getting into the game.
There was one game of triples and one game of pairs.
In the triples, Julie Wood, Rodney O'Neill and Bevan McAlister (visiting from Quandialla) played Martin Lacarla, Joy and Quentin Murray.
The win went to Martin, Joy and Quentin.
In the pairs game, Sue and Lance Gault played Rosemary and Ray Walter.
This was a see-saw game with Ray leading early but two fours to Lance on the twelfth and thirteenth ends saw him take the lead.
All even on the seventeenth end, then Ray was holding game until with the last bowl of the game Lance drew shot for the win.
The meat tray went to Rodney.
Hope to see some more players this week.
