New exhibition at the gallery

GRENFELL ART GALLERY: A successful evening was held on Friday July 24 for the reopening of the Grenfell Art Gallery and the new exhibition by Shani Nottingham "Inside Life Inside". Due to COVID-19 safety rules only a limited number of 30 people could attend, and it was at maximum capacity. Art and Tourism Officer Claire McCann welcomed everyone and thanked the volunteers Di Griffith, Hugh Moffitt and Mary Moffitt for helping with the installation of the exhibition.

Shani was then invited forward to talk about her exhibition. It was a wonderful talk where she explained about all the different aspects of the display. She also went on to talk about her bread tag artwork and 'The Bread Tag Project"

If you would like to learn more about Shani's The Bread Tag Project please check out her Facebook page:

Also, for anyone who would like to donate bread tags to Shani while she is exhibiting either get in touch with Shani directly or put them in her donation box at the Grenfell Art Gallery. Shani's will also be holding a Watercolour 101 workshop on Sunday August 16. Bookings can be made at made here:

WEDDIN COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SERVICE: Community Transport is in desperate need of Volunteer drivers to allow them to keep up with the demand for both short and long distance trips.

Michelle Cook the new Co-ordinator in Grenfell would love to hear from anyone who likes driving and has some spare time to assist others in the community. Drivers would need to undergo a medical, a Criminal Record check and a Working With Children check.

Phone Michelle at Grenfell on 63432388.
