On top of recommending that Council thank Mr McCormack for the funding General Manager Glenn Carroll also nominated the funds be allocated to culverts and town signs.
"My recommendation is that we allocate $515,335 to culverts next year, maybe the Piney Range culvert and then $120,000 to the town entrance signage which is a project which just missed out on funding," he said.
"If we could fund that project and get that going I think it would be a very good thing."
Mayor Mark Liebich agreed with the recommendation saying it sounded 'great'.
"It's very good to get that extra money from the Federal Government," Cr Liebich said.
The recommendation was moved by Cr Diprose and seconded by Cr Bembrich and was carried unanimously.
