Upgrades to Grenfell's main street, refurbishment to local halls and improvements to local clubs will soon be taking place thanks to the latest round of the Fund.
This latest round of NSW Government funding has been spread across five projects, each of which will benefit communities across the Shire.
$101,879 for the Grenfell Country Cub - to repair the roof and ceilings, install reverse cycle air conditioning and a solar power system.
$134,778 for the Caragabal Memorial Hall refurbishment - this second stage of the hall refurbishment will see roof, guttering and downpipe repairs, upgrades to toilets and the kitchen.
$179,961 for Grenfell's Main Street renewal - this work will include locations for events and tourist engagement and infrastructure for future access to power for electric car charging and festivals.
$300,000 for the Bogolong Dam Youth / Community Facility - this work will develop Bogolong Dam in to a community recreation space, with a fishing pontoon, boat ramp, toilets, showers, BBQ area, walking tracks and other facilities.
$50,000 for the Grenfell Rugby Union Football Club - to build an all-weather BBQ and dining site.
Ms Cooke said she was delighted these projects had secured funding.
"These projects across the region are all about making our communities even more liveable, I want to congratulate everyone who was involved in these applications," Ms Cooke said.
"These projects underline just how forward-thinking the Weddin Shire is and how committed community groups in this region are to making spaces and places that are right for the community both now and in to the future."
Mayor of Weddin Shire Mark Liebich said the funding was warmly welcomed across the shire, particularly in smaller communities.
"First and foremost we want to thank Steph and the State Government for the funds," Cr Liebich said.
"Every extra dollar counts out here, and this money will have a huge impact on small communities like Caragabal.
"Also being able to get stuck in to work at Bogolong Dam and in Grenfell's Main Street is very exciting."
The $400 million Stronger Country Communities Fund is part of the NSW Government's $1.7 billion Regional Growth Fund, which is being invested in local programs and infrastructure that improve the lives of people living in regional NSW.
