Tim Cheney from the organising committee says the group has wonderful plans for two new murals this year: one for The Eugowra Memorial Hospital as well a mural celebrating the Centenary of the Eugowra Rugby League Club in 2021.
"It will make for a busy few days for the artists and sign writers and we are starting to get excited," Mr Cheney wrote.
At the newly formed Eugowra Steering Committee the murals ranked a close second to the picturesque 'location' of our town as being our towns' best features.
Visitors love them: Tim has had the opportunity to guide several groups of visitors around the murals and they've then enjoyed the historic buildings, iconic landscape and time exploring local businesses as well.
"It is so great that every day we see travellers who previously drove straight through Eugowra now stopping and taking photos around our town," Tim said.
Many of the mural artists and sign writers have returned every year since 2012 and Eugowra has embraced them as friends.
"The works of art they have created have certainly brightened up our town and they have given sightseers a reason to stop and enjoy our beautiful little town," Tim said.
"Each mural provides a great insight into the history of our area which have really helped to put our town on the map."
It's been a tough period around our district and any donations that you can make toward the Murals will be greatly appreciated.
Donations to the Mural Meet will be accepted at the Gentle Cow Café, by cheques made payable to 'EPPA' and posted to Ray Agustin P.O. Box 23 Eugowra 2806 or by direct deposit to Reliance Bank BSB 882 000 A/C 53832 using the description 'Murals'. Whatever you can give will make a difference.
If you can help out by offering accommodation or can assist in any way over the murals weekend, give Tim a call on 0409 107 816.
