The January Grenfell Probus meeting entailed the usual formalities and an address from the exceedingly handsome local boy Anthony Myers. Anthony spoke about his life and work at Thredbo as a resort manager which also included time working during the Thredbo landslide. Anthony also expressed his passion for the farm, Passchendaele, near Grenfell.

Members are reminded that the balance of $775, in an envelope please, is due at this February meeting for the six day Lakes Entrance Tour from Sunday 8 March to Friday 13 March. Highlights include the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and a night at Cooma, the Platypus Reserve at Bombala, then for three nights at Lakes Entrance with a Peels Stormbird Lunch Cruise through Reeves Channel, Bancroft Bay and Lake King, Nerimilang Homestead and Park, a visit to Paynesville, home of the Koala Trail, through Omeo for a night at Bright and a stop at Beechworth on the way home.
I am sure we are still waiting for our change in weather and waiting with crossed fingers and toes. There were not as many members present last meeting however looking for a full roll up on Monday 17 February. Gwen and Neville Clark and David Cobham are on the Morning Tea Roster and Jan Holland and Vera Penney are on the Door Roster. Hope to see you all there.
