As the region and country celebrate Australia Day on January 26, Grenfell's annual ceremony will be celebrated at a temporarily new location due to site works at Taylor Park.

"Weddin Shire Council is pleased to announce that Grenfell's Australia Day Ceremony will be held in an exciting new venue, the Grenfell Public Schools Covered Outdoor Learning Area," Weddin Shire Council tourism officer Auburn Carr said.
"This is only a temporary change and the Ceremony will return to Taylor Park in 2021."
The Australia Day celebration in Grenfell will be held on Australia Day - Sunday January 26, 2020.
"The Rotary Club of Grenfell will be providing the barbecue breakfast from 8am and entertainment will be provided by the Grenfell Town Band," Auburn said.
The ceremony will commence at 9am, with a citizenship ceremony an exciting new addition to the regular program, and of course Grenfell's Australia Day awards will be presented.
There will be drawing competitions for young children with excellent prizes on offer.
"Bring a chair and some sunscreen for a great community event."

Each village will also be held a celebration on Australia Day.
Quandialla
Quandialla will have a Community Gathering on the lawn at the Bland Hotel at 7pm on Sunday January 26.
A community barbecue will commence directly after the official welcome. Each family is asked to please bring a salad to share with NO BYO.
Greenethorpe
Greenethorpe will have an 8.30am cricket match on Sunday January 26 with the Northern Tillers vs Southern Silo Busters; a cricket match like no other.
If you would like to play please be at the ground at 8:30am to warm up and put on some sunscreen for a 9am start.
Following the game there will be a free Australia Day barbecue at the hall and the announcement of the winner for the Christmas lights competition.

Caragabal
Caragabal will have an 8am breakfast on Sunday January 26 at the park in Caragabal, serving bacon, eggs, sausages, toast and tea and coffee. Ending the day with an evening at the pub for dinner.
