Weddin Shire Council has been granted $1m grant funding subject to the submission and approval of a grant funding application under the Federal, Liberal and National Governments Drought Communities Program (DCP) Extension.
Weddin Shire Council residents are invited by council to provide feedback and/or suggestions to Council on where they think the funding could be spent as per the funding guidelines by 4pm Friday January 31, 2020.

The grant is to be used for local community infrastructure and other drought relief projects and is expected to provide work for people whose employment has been impacted by drought, stimulate local community spending, use local resources, businesses and suppliers and provide a long-lasting benefit to communities and the agricultural industries they depend on.
