Training Services NSW are subsidising skills training for young people aged 15 to 24 years old impacted by the drought, with a number of workshops coming to the Central West.

The training sessions, held during January 2020, aim to support youth engagement and increase employability skills.
It is one initiative within a package of government programs available to support farmers, their families and rural communities.
A wide range of training is available, including animal studies, chemicals, community services, construction (White Card), drone operations, first aid, hospitality essentials, individual support, life saving/pool life guard, meat processing, robotics and coding, shearing/wool handling and work health and safety.

There are courses held across the month in Grenfell (chemicals from January 13), Condobolin (hospitality from January 15), Molong (hospitality January 21-24), Blayney, Narromine and Gilgandra.
