Police say at 1.10pm on December 3, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Mid Western Highway and the Lachlan Valley Way towards Gooloogong.
A 69-year-old Molong woman with head and chest injuries was airlifted from the scene and taken to Orange Base Hospital, while the driver of one of the vehicles, a 72-year-old Gooloogong woman, received minor injuries and was conveyed to Cowra Hospital.
Officer in charge of Cowra Police, Inspector Adam Beard, said inquiries will continue into the crash.
"At this stage, there's no cause of the accident but both vehicles received significant damage and required towing from the scene," Inspector Beard said.
"The roadway was closed for approximately 50 minutes whilst emergency services responded to the accident."
