Chairperson for Grenfell Voices Against Violence committee Elly Schiller said those taking part in the march set the standard for acceptable behaviour.
"If we can teach children from a young age about respect, this will transpire through the ages," Elly said.
"If we can set the standard for respectful behaviour and gender equality in the community, at home and in the workplace, we can eliminate violence against women, men and children.
"We do this by standing up, speaking out and acting when it comes to violence," she said.
The walk will kick off from Main Street Medical Service and finish at the Salvation Army Hall with participants asked to meet at 9.15am for a 9.30am start.
