The Western Women's Tackle Rugby League competition kicked off on the weekend of October 12 and 13 and we have seen the completion of the first two rounds.

The competition runs over a seven-week period with five regular competition games a weekend of semi-finals, culminating in the Grand Final on November 23.
Numbers have swelled since the last competition with six clubs playing 13 aside in under 13s, 15s, 18s and Opens.
The six clubs comprise The Vipers (Orange, Blayney and surrounds), Panorama Platypi (Bathurst, Lithgow, Oberon and surrounds), Woodbridge (Woodbridge Cup teams plus Cowra), The Goannas (Dubbo and other Group 11 teams), Castlereagh Cougars (Castlereagh Cup teams, Coonamble, Gilgandra etc.) and the final club is the Mudgee Dragons who are a "stand alone" club.
Grenfell has significant involvement in this competition with Steve "Boof" Hundy coaching the under 13s and Garry "Nails" Hewen coaching the under 15s Woodbridge teams.
The following Grenfell players are taking part in the competition:
Under 13s - Mia Bateman, Emily Brenner, Emily Edwards and Alana O'Loughlin;
Under 15s - Tatianna Hazell, Lily Holmes, Jayde Hundy, Taylor Keppie, Tahnee Purdie and Megan Wilson;
Under 18s - Caprhyse Lawler and Faith White;
Opens - Caitlin Dixon.
Good start for Woodbridge
Woodbridge have made a good start to the competition after playing away games at Mudgee and Bathurst.
The under 13s had an exciting 26 all draw first up against Mudgee and then after a topsy-turvy battle ended up with a comfortable 36-24 win over the Platypi.
The under 15s opened up with a big 62-0 nil over Mudgee but it was much tougher against the fast finishing Platypi with Woodbridge holding on to win 14-4.
The Josh Annis-Brown coached Under 18s defeated Mudgee 42-12 and then with some players missing were still too strong for the Platypi winning 48-10.
Andrew Pull is in control of the Opens and after not winning a game in the last two competitions, they have broken the duck with big wins over Mudgee 28-0 and the Platypi 54-6.
Home game for Woodbridge
This Sunday sees Woodbridge play their first home game at Condobolin against the strong Goannas Club who have also had a good start to the competition.
The Under 15s will not be in action as they will be playing their Goannas counterparts at Pioneer Oval Parkes on Wednesday, October 30, (3.55pm) as one of the lead up matches to the Men's Western Rams verse France game (7pm).
The game times at Pat Timmins Oval Condobolin on Sunday will be Under 13s 10am, Under 18s 11am and the Opens will kick off at 12pm.
The remaining two rounds of the competition prior to the Semi-Finals will see Woodbridge take on the Castlereagh Cougars on Sunday,November 3 at Tom Clyburn Oval Canowindra and then the Vipers at Waratah Park Orange on Sunday 10th November.
