The Dinosaurs are a foundation member of this tournament playing in every one since its inception in 2009.
Current locals who will be playing are, Chris Dixon, Mick Madgwick, Mark Horne, Trevor Mawhinney, Wayne Hewen, Neil Eppelstun, Craig Eppelstun, Mark Troth, Ben Armstrong, and Matt Reid.
Two other locals who have been playing with the Dinosaurs but are unavailable on the day are Craig Smith (cricket commitments), and John White (injury).
Ex-locals in the team are Rodney Harding (Canberra), Andrew Clarke (Murrumbateman), Phil Harveyson (Canberra), and Stuart Graham (Bathurst).
The team is rounded off with Cowra residents Justin Gunn and Steve Taylor who are both former Goannas coaches, and Greg Nicholls (Cowra) and Geoff Higgins (Dubbo) who were transient locals.
Greg and Geoff both came to Grenfell as bank employees with the former playing for the Goannas in the 90s and the latter in the 80s.
"Good luck on the weekend boys and although we are certain there will be some bumps and bruises we hope you all return home injury free," Gary Holmes said.
Meanwhile, 17 teams have entered this year which is down slightly from 22 in 2018.
Teams are also coming from Adelong, Bega, Canberra, Grenfell, Forbes, Griffith, Penrith, Bowral, Doonside, Koorawatha, Murringo and Young.
Players ages vary from 35 to above 74 years of age. Games are 15 minutes each way. Two referees are coming from Brisbane to officiate the carnival. Organiser Geoff Hill said it's one of the biggest Masters carnivals in NSW.
"We receive a lot of positive feedback from visiting teams. They all really look forward to coming to Young. It's the end of the footy season, it's a bit of a end of season trip for a lot of guys involved with clubs," organiser Geoff Hill said.
"To hold a successful carnival for 11 years it's down to the hard work of the Cherryatrics and also our sponsors, for without them we could not run this weekend."
A meet and greet will be held at the Young S and C Club on Friday evening, and dinner and a number of draws will take place with more than 300 players and visitors on Saturday night.
Entry to games is a gold coin donation which goes to a local charity.
Games commence on Saturday morning at 9am with the last game of the day starting at 1.40pm. Sunday's games will kick-off from 9am with the last game scheduled for 11.40am. The annual City and Country game on Sunday morning is due to start at 10.10am. The Dinosaurs opening game is against Red Bellie Black Snakes at 10.20am on Saturday at Keith Cullen Oval.
