The 17 students completed their first of two English exams, the first in what will be a somewhat grueling four weeks of study, revision and exams.
On Friday students will be completing the second component of their English exam with their second paper before they start the written exam components for the rest of their subjects to be completed over the coming four weeks.
For the past 18 months the students have been working towards the Higher School Certificate with practical exams for some subjects already completed.
Locals took to Facebook to wish the students the best of luck in their exams.
"Good luck guys, will be thinking of you all," Darrel Simpson wrote.
"Good luck everyone," Rachel Martin and Michelle Rohan published.
"Go well people - read the questions carefully," Donald Needham advised.
"I hope all the questions are easy. Good luck," Bernadette Power wrote.
Teachers, staff, students and families from The Henry Lawson High School are also wishing the students all the best in their final push before their post high school life begins.
On behalf of the staff and readers from the Grenfell Record we wish all the students all the best over the next couple of weeks.
