Grenfell Junior Rugby League Football Club held its annual presentation day on Saturday at the Grenfell Bowling Club to celebrate the 2019 season.

Players and their supporters left the miserable conditions outside to cheer on all the accomplishments made by the teams and individual players throughout the season.
There were plenty of awards to hand out with awards for best and fairest, best and fairest runner-up, most consistent, most improved, coaches awards, players player, senior club person, junior club person, player of the finals, player of the year, champion team of the year, highest point scorer, highest international point scorer, life member badges and lifetime players.
The full list of award winners can be found inside but the highlights for the day were Heather Windred and Matthew McCann awarded the Grenfell Junior Rugby League Senior Club Person of the year, Bailey Edwards won Grenfell Junior Rugby League player of the finals, the Under 16s Goannas were named the Champion Team of the Year/Jim Clarke Memorial.
Alana O'Loughlin was the Highest Point Scorer - Mod and Lily Holmes was named Highest Point Scorer International.
Isabel Holmes was awarded a life members badge and Faith White, Caleb Haddin and Dylan King were all named Lifetime Players.
The Coaches award were present to Hudson Forde for the Midgets, Beau Hockings for the Under 8s, Adian Clarke for Mini League Tag, Bridie Forde for the Mod League Tag, Luke Beasley for the Under 12s, Tahnee Purdee for the Senior League Tag, Ebosetale Akhiwu for the Under 14s and Harrison Nowlan for the Under 16s.
From all reports the kids, players, family and friends who were all in attendance had a fantastic day and enjoyed catching up and celebrating the end of a huge 2019 footy season.
The Club and its players are already looking forward to next year when they will be able to improve their skills, make some lasting friendships and enjoy playing a game that they love.
