The Suicide Prevention Project and Western NSW Primary Health Network will be at Lions Park near the old railway station in Grenfell on Thursday September 12 with a wealth of information on helpful services around mental health, social and wellbeing to coincide with RU OK day.
There will be a showcase of services available for locals who would like help with their mental health in the Weddin area between 12 and 2pm at Lions Park with a sausage sizzle cooked by Grenfell Lions Club.
"We needn't wait to ask, we can have these conversations at any time," Mr White said.
"By getting together as a community and working together we can encourage those in need to reach out, and by asking the question R U OK? it might make all the difference to someone who needs support."
"There are many resources available locally and we encourage those doing it tough to reach out."
Last year's event was a huge success with locals making the most of the opportunity to find out what services and help are available on a local level.
RU OK day is a national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that every day is the day to ask, "are you ok?" and support those struggling with life's ups and downs.
The 2019 message for RU OK day is "Trust the signs, trust your gut and ask R U OK?"
Suicide Prevention Day was earlier this week as an important reminder to not only ask friends and family RU OK but yourself too and to seek help if needed.
