The first meeting for the club was staged on the 6th September 1919 with a seven race programme set down.
Much like Young, Temora and many other clubs, Cowra transferred to lighting for night racing in 1954.
First spring meet for the season
Grenfell trainers will be in attendance when Young Harness Racing Club stage their first spring meeting this Friday night.
With an impressive line up of local and visiting trainers contesting another big programme of racing.
This will include the $10,000 heat of the Kevin and Kay Seymore Pace that will carry a $20,000 final at Menangle.
