The Grenfell Girlannas played in the Grand Final of the Woodbridge Cup last weekend with the girls just being pipped at the post by the Cargo Blue Heelers.

The Grenfell ladies went down to the Cargo side 32-16 with Girlannas Zoe Gavin, Breanna Anderson and Leanne Young scoring tries for the girls and Crystal Tucker kicking two goals.
The Girlannas were the only Grenfell side to make it through to the Grand Finals with the Youth League side dropping out in the second elimination final and the First Grade Goannas going down to Manildra in the final week of the elimination finals.
In the other games played in the Woodbridge Cup grand final on the weekend the Manildra Rhinos Youth League side dominated Trundle, defeating the home team 19-4. Tries for the Rhinos went to Trent Fliedner, Lewis Dean and Jackson Gersbach and Trent Fliedner converting three goals and one field goal. For the Trundle side Sam Horsburgh scored the only try.
In first grade Trundle became the first team since Stockinbingal in 1968, 69 and 70 to win three premierships in a row. The Trundle side locked out the Rhinos making the most of the home field advantage to defeat Manildra 56-0. Brad Watt and Ryan Porter scored three tries each, Conner Farrer scored twice and Adam Hall once while also converting eight goals.
