BRIBBAREE SCHOOL CENTENARY: On Sunday October 6, Bribbaree Public school will celebrate "100 Years of Education". The official celebrations at the school will be from 10am till 3pm and will include Sunday brunch, market stall and of course formalities.

Celebrations will feature the raising of a time capsule and the placement of another, the opening of the Centenary Walkway and both visual and verbal acknowledgement of the school's history.
Past and present students, teachers and families are welcome to purchase pavers as the school creates a permanent memory. Order forms are available on the Bribbaree Public School Centenary Facebook page or by contacting the school on 6383 2308.
It will be a huge weekend for Bribbaree as they hold their annual show on Saturday October 5.
The photo of the on Facebook says "Please spread the word - Bribbaree Public School is 100 and the Sunday of the October Long Weekend is going to be a trip down memory lane for many. Kindergarten/Year 1 Class of 1965".
I believe this was Miss Moffitt - now Jenny Hetherington's first appointment.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY VISIT: Max, Thomas and Spencer Armstrong spent some of the recent school holidays with grandparents Ian and Jenny Armstrong at 'Brentwood'.
Whilst in Grenfell the boys also got to catch up with 'Nanny Mac' Joan McSpadden who celebrated her 88th Birthday.
LONG TAN: Following the service at the Cenotaph on August 18 to commemorate and remember Vietnam Vets who served our country, a dinner was held at the Railway Hotel, where RSL members, National Servicemen, Grenfell Cadets as well as townsfolk were present.
Special guests were John Drum and his wife Nola from Temora and formerly of Bribbaree. John is the President of the RSL South West District Council, in which there are thirteen sub- branches.
Peter Mitton, Grenfell's No 1 soundman and his wife Nicola were also guests. Peter is always available, rain, hail or shine to ensure that there is a sound system for every event in Grenfell and beyond.
18th BIRTHDAY: Hannah Cartwright celebrated her 18th birthday on August 22 with her friends Natalie and Bianca Cotter, Chloe Wilson, Connor Day, Caitlin Nealon. Adam Hewen and Lucy Rassack.
The group enjoyed a fun filled evening with dinner at the Railway Hotel.
16th BIRTHDAY: Henry Best was treated to a special 16th birthday dinner at the Railway Hotel on August 22. Helping Henry celebrate were Georgia Brenner, Caprhyse Lawler, Anna Hunt, Holly Gilbert, Hannah Gundry and Isabel Periera.
FOOTY FAMILY FUN DAY: The Liebich family enjoyed an afternoon at the Rugby League Elimination Finals on Saturday afternoon and were delighted to see Grenfell Goannas victors 60-16 over the Molong Bulls.
Mayor Mark had his hands full being the proud grandfather keeping a close eye on Archie.
Grenfell Goannas will play Rhinos at Cargo at 2pm whilst the Grenfell Girlannas will be up against Rhinos at 12.40pm. Winners from these games will proceed to the grand-final to be held on September 08 at Trundle.
GRENFELL SHOW: Come one, come all to the 2019 Grenfell Show today and tomorrow. This year as well as the usual attractions, pavilion displays there will be numerous other activities to keep every on their toes. When's the last time you watched a blacksmith at work? Why not come along and check it out or visit Neville Burns who be at the Show on Saturday. Neville has a ripper reptile show and will be running four (4) shows on Saturday - there's no excuse to miss out on the fun!!
Friday Night Fireworks: Don't forget to secure you dogs because of the fireworks at the Grenfell Show.

There is certainly a lot happening in the next few months which is excellent as these events are very important to the economic and social fabric of our Shire.
