The staff award recipients were:
Mr Garry White is always available to support teaching and learning. Garry takes responsibility for implementing current school systems and legislative requirements, ensuring students are learning in safe environments.
Mrs Jillian Reidy successfully gained accreditation as a Highly Accomplished Teacher with NSW Education Standards Authority. In 2018 only five teachers in NSW, across both primary and secondary schools and government and independant schools, achieved this accreditation. Less than one percent of teachers who apply are successful. This is recognition of Ms Reidy's commitment and hard work ensuring our students are productive, engaged and creative, and sets a culture of high expectations by modelling and setting challenging learning goals.
Mr Mark Amey for his dedication to maintaining orderly and workable routines to create an environment where student's time is spent on learning tasks.
Mr Amey supports and leads whole school projects with his skills and time, ensuring students have positive interactions and engage in classroom activities.
Ms Margaret Carey was the principal of our school from 2009 - 2016.
During this time she took leadership roles in professional and community networks, supporting colleagues, parents and students, ensuring educational priorities and learning opportunities were realised.
Ms Megan Crossley was recognised for working with and leading colleagues on internal assessment practices, ensuring the evaluation of teaching and learning, identifying interventions and modifying teaching practice.
Ms Crossley always goes above and beyond ensuring learning opportunities in hospitality are integrated with school priorities and our students leave school equipped for the world.
Mrs Sonja Cotter was recognised for her involvement with our P&C, being an energetic member of the fundraising committee as well as the uniform committee that helped pilot and introduce our new school uniform.
We thank Sonja for taking much time and care in sourcing supplies for our uniforms, including house shirts, and for operating the canteen at school socials.
