Grace Best was one of the 2019 applicant winners and also encourages others to apply.
"Grenfell CEF nominated me as a candidate for the Audi Foundation STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Scholarship; a national initiative to support and encourage students pursuing a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics," Grace said.
"I was lucky enough to be selected as one of four recipients of the $2,500 scholarship in 2019, however my good fortune did not end there."
On top of her scholarship Grace was also given more opportunities through the program.
"I was given the opportunity to take part in a promotion sponsored by Audi that would appear in Vogue Australia magazine," Grace said.
"I travelled to Sydney for a day of hair and makeup, wardrobe changes, props, lighting changes, and many different poses in front of the camera.
"Anyone who knows me can appreciate how far out of my comfort zone this experience was, however I thoroughly enjoyed myself and was proud to contribute to the encouragement of women in STEM."
And as if that wasn't enough Grace was given a further opportunity from the promotion.
"Vogue approached me with yet another opportunity, seeking my involvement in a video promotion that would be displayed at each of the Vogue Codes seminars held around Australia to encourage and empower women to become digital innovators.
"During my interview I was asked to share my personal interest in statistics and physics as well as the guiding forces that have led me to undertake this double degree.
"The immense support provided to me by the Grenfell community and local Country Education Foundation of Grenfell has been instrumental in my pursuit of a career in STEM; for which I am incredibly grateful."
