The NSW Government's Infrastructure Grants program is available for new or upgraded facilities across sport and recreation, arts and culture, disaster readiness and community infrastructure.
"If you have a project which needs funding and which will make a real difference for your community, submit an application as soon as you can," Ms Cooke said. "The 2019/20 program has been expanded to support projects which build community connections.
"For the first time, the grants are available for projects that support youth, mental health, homelessness and domestic violence services as well as drought-affected communities.
"Other examples of projects range from local sports ground facilities, public swimming pools, children's play areas, museums, art galleries, theatres and upgrades to evacuation centres."
The grants are made possible by the Clubgrants Category 3 Fund which re-invests profits from gaming machines into community projects.
Applications for the first round of funding for 2019/20 are open now and close on Monday August 26. For more information on eligibility and criteria contact 9995 0992.To find out more information or to apply, visit responsiblegambling.nsw.gov.au
