NINETY YEARS YOUNG: Congratulations to Allan Holland who celebrated his 90th birthday on August 1. Allan was joined at his home in Dagmar Street by his three daughters Jennifer Gavin, Joanne Troy and Susan Witt and their families who had prepared a beautiful luncheon for his special day. Allan's granddaughters Emily and Annah Witt and most of Joanne's family including great grandchildren dropped into wish him happy birthday and of course had some cake. A surprise visit from his first cousin John Penrose and his wife Adel topped off the day.
When asked what he thought was the best invention in his many years of farming he answered, "The angel grinder, automatic hay baler and the wheat bag lifter were greatest inventions as they made life on the farm so much easier". Happy birthday Allan.
