Council is seeking expressions of interest from owners of property who may wish to undertake conservation works on structures that could be classed as having historic or heritage value.
Funding is now available for owners to undertake works on their properties to stimulate restoration and maintain the heritage values which hold significant value to the Shire.
"History is a big part of all our lives here within the Weddin Shire, and we want to encourage owners of incredibly historical properties or structures that we will support you in your works to maintain their significance and beauty," Mayor for the Weddin Shire, Cr Mark Liebich explained.
Successful applicants can be reimbursed up to a maximum of 50 percent of the cost of restoration or conservation works.
Application forms for the Weddin Shire Heritage Program can be found at the Weddin Shire offices or online at www.weddin.nsw.gov.au. Applications close July 29 2019.
