President's report
Dear members, friends and volunteers,
This is my fourth presidents report, for the Gunyah Craft Shop for the year 2018-2019.
Thank you to those people who create a wonderful vibe within our shop with smiling faces and great personalities. We continue to have cooking, produce, crafts, plants and the usual items brought in for sale by our members. Also thanks to those people in the community who donate extra produce to sell.
Our donations to the Grenfell schools have been maintained and increased. We also donate to many other organisations throughout the year. I would like to sincerely thank those members who do cooking, which keeps our table well stocked. Also those members who have long lists of items in knitting and sewing, which helps keep our stock at a reasonable level. The introduction of knitted cotton items has been very popular.
I would like to thank, each and every one of our volunteers who continue to have the Gunyah open 7 days a week. I am very grateful to those volunteers who can step in when others have appointments or are ill, without these people, filling the roster would be impossible. Thank you for working as a great team and having friendly faces in our shop.
We have had a few members who have "retired" from Roster duty. We would welcome new people who love to chat and connect with customers, to contact the Gunyah Executive for information, on working at the shop.
A big thank you to the committee: especially to Diane, Margaret, Meryl and Lorraine - who have advised me and kept me sane-ish; and all those members who attend meetings. Thank you all for your friendship, thoughtfulness and encouragement.
Yours faithfully,
Cathy Lee
