"Tom had a really great meet," Mum Liz Robinson said.
"The highlight of his meet was his favourite event, the 50m freestyle, placing second in the 15-16 years male backing up his silver medal from the NSW Country Long Course Championships in February."
Tom swam in eight events over the weekend with top ten finishes in four of his events and beating seven of his previous personal best (PB).
"He was sixth in the open male 50 meter butterfly with a pb of 26.64.
"Seventh in the 15-16 years 100 meter freestyle - PB of 54.18 - and seventh in the 15-16 years 100 butterfly, taking a huge 2.31 seconds off his time for a PB of 1.00.60."
Tom also posted new PBs in the 100m breaststroke, 200m freestyle and 50m backstroke.
"All in all, we are thrilled with his results. This is the only the third short course event he has ever competed at so to come away with so many good results is terrific," Liz said.
Tom's next event is School Sport Australia Swimming Championships where he will be competing as part of the NSW state team in the 50m freestyle and butterfly and as a member of the 4x50m freestyle and medley relay teams.
