Poetry by the fire that all can join in or enjoy on July 23

With winter in full swing, step away from your fires and sit by ours as The Grenfell Dramatic Society host a Poetry by the fire evening on July 23.

Given the recent success of our June poetry event with the forum style format and talent we have in our community, we are doing it again.

With Les Murray passing away recently, in his honour we have decided the theme will be:

'Australian Poets of the Modern Era.'

The Grenfell Dramatic Society are hosting this intimate evening at its Rose Street Rooms at 7.30pm.

All aspiring and non-aspiring poets are welcome to join in and either watch or take part.

This casual evening is a chance to reflect upon our diverse talent of our modern poets, enjoy great company, a warm fire and kick back with some scones and cheese.

The event is open to all ages and is a great chance to mingle with like minded people without the pressure of learning lines.

So come along and join us with your favourite modern Australian poems including your originals and tread the boards with us for a celebration of our modern Australian poets.

A gold coin donation by attendees is most appreciated.

Check out our Facebook page for more information.
