On Sunday, October 6 the school will remember its past, showcasing the present and looking forward to the future of the Bribbaree community.
Education first commenced in the Bribbaree district in 1894. In 1994 a celebration was conducted acknowledging 100 years of learning in the Bribbaree District. Schools included Moralba, Weedallion, Moonbucca and Edgefern.
It was 1919 when the present Bribbaree Public School was established.
The official celebrations at the school will be from 10am to 3pm and include a Sunday barbecue brunch, market stalls, a luncheon booth and some formalities.
The celebrations will feature a viewing of the school's raised time capsule and placement of another, the opening of a Centenary walkway and both visual and verbal acknowledgement of the school's history.
The Bribbaree Show will be held on Saturday, October 5 creating a full weekend of catching up and acknowleging of education, industry, families and friendships that have sustained the district for many years.
Past and presents students, teachers and families are able to purchase pavers for the Centenary walkway.
Single pavers are $30 each, double pavers $60 ad triple pavers $90. Orders close June 30.
