Eleven young ladies were welcomed to society when they were presented to Father Trenton Van Reesch, Mayor Mark Liebich and the Deputy Prime Minister Hon Michael McCormack at the Catholic Debutante Ball Saturday evening May 25.

The Bowling Club auditorium decorated with tulle and silver drops, table decorations by "Country Bunches" and covered chairs with burgundy sashes was sight to behold.
Gabrielle Capra trained the debutantes and their partners for their debutante waltz and fun dances assisted by Deidre and Terry Carroll for the presentations.
A father daughter dance was an added feature following their presentations.
Beautiful music for the evening was provided by Lusi Austin.
Representing the Parish, Elizabeth Carroll welcomed and acknowledged the Official Party at the table.

Glenn Carroll, General Manager of the Weddin Shire Council and Liz Carroll, Chairperson of St Joseph's Parish.
Danielle Schneide was compere for the evening.
Flower girls Darcey Biddle and Bethany Jewell preceded the Matron of Honour Mary Moffitt through the beautifully decorated archway and down the red carpet.
Danielle Schneider introduced each debutante and partner as they entered the auditorium where over 200 family and friends were in attendance.
All the debutantes looked outstanding and were complimented by their partners in black suits, white shirts burgundy ties and kerchiefs.
Debutantes and partners presented in order of appearance were: Crystal Hucker and Zac Simpson, Tayler King and Ethan Reid, Casey Walker and Thomas Robinson, Tara Schaefer and Axl Delandro, Karyl Lee Durham and Connor Day, Maya Squires and Phillip Pargeter, Elizabeth Nowlan and Jai Purdie, Caitlin Nealon and Ayden Eyles, Mea O'Byrne and Harrison Starr, Kylee Lindsay and Matthew Gault and Stephanie Davies and George Mitton.
The debutantes were asked to do a sprightly catwalk to "Get Ready" by 2 Unlimited to show off their beautiful gowns,
The Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormak thanked St Joseph's Parish for his invitation and congratulated the Debutantes and their partners on their special night.
Mayor Mark Liebich welcomed the guests and Father Trenton Van Reesch was called upon to officially open the ball.
He complimented the debutantes and partners on the way in which they were trained and carried it out to perfection.
The debutantes and partners danced their Pride of Erin Debutante Waltz to "Classic" by MKTO which was followed by a Father-Daughter Waltz, dancing to "Que Sera Sera". The final dance was by the partners who performed a vibrant presentation to "Footloose".
Debutante Maya Squires and her partner Joshua Pargeter had the honour of cutting the debutante cake on behalf of all debutantes and partners.
The cake was made by Wilder's Bakery and beautifully decorated by Margaret Knight.
Father Trenton presented each Debutante with a certificate in recognition of this special occasion.
A special thank you to Elizabeth Carroll and the ball committee who were responsible for the major part of the beautiful decorations.
Sincere thanks were extended to the Bowling Club Catering staff as well as the Manager Bianca Hughes and staff of the Grenfell Bowling Club for their expertise and assistance for the evening.
The debutantes presented Gabrielle Capra, Liz Carroll and Terry and Deidre Carroll with an appreciation gift.
A very surprised Terry and Deidre Carroll were the recipients of a very special Papal Blessing presented by St Joseph's for their many years of service to the parish.
To conclude the formal part of the evening debutantes and their partners, followed by the flower girl, Matron of Honour and the official party left the auditorium to sprightly music, joined their family and friends and enjoyed the music and dancing.
