The Youth League boys have a bye.
Last Sunday at Lawson Park Dan Harveyson picked up the $220 first try scorer bonus when Caitlin Stock scored first for the League Tag team.
Number two Wayne Holten scored our first try in First Grade and the owner of that jumper is Kyle Norris and he received $320.
The Woodbridge Cup Representative teams are playing against Mid West this Saturday at Cargo with League Tag kicking off at 1.40pm and the Under 23s men at 3.00pm.
Good luck to both teams and in particular, the Grenfell players Zoe Gavin, Breanna Anderson, and Alicia White who is also captaining the team.
Members would love to see some Grenfell supporters at their away matches, all are welcome to come along and cheer on the Goannas and Girlannas.
Below are the match reports from last Sunday when we hosted Molong in all three grades.
YOUTH LEAGUE
Grenfell were able to come away with the two competition points on Sunday after a hard fought 32-24 victory over Molong.
Best and Fairest points went to Jai Purdie (3), Nathan Wilson (2), Saxon Southwell (1) and Luke McDean picked up the Players Player.
Tries were scored by Jai Purdie (2), Saxon Southwell, Luke McDean, Adam Hewen, and Lochlan Kiss.
Lachlan Stevens added to the point score kicking 4 goals.
LEAGUE TAG
After leading 12 nil at halftime the girls went on with the job in the second half to run out 34 nil winners.
Alicia White and Rachel Causer were joint Players Player with Faith White picking up the 3 Best & Fairest points. The remaining points were shared by Rachel Causer, Alicia White and Zoe Gavin.
The try scorers were Zoe Gavin (2), Faith White (2), Cindy Lawler, Caprhyse Lawler, Casey Hewen, and Caitlin Stock. Chrystal Hucker rounded off the scoring by kicking a goal.
FIRST GRADE
The Goannas were nudged out 36-34 by Molong in a high scoring affair with both sides scoring 7 tries apiece.
Grenfell's tries were scored by Desi Doolan (2), Sam Ingram (2), Wayne Holten, Dan Harveyson, and Mitchell Stevens.
Mitchell Stevens also kicked 3 goals.
Best & Fairest points went to Stephen Ingram (3), and the remaining points were shared between Ty Ashe, Brendan Hewen, and Steve Taylor with Dan Harveyson taking out Players Player.
