After a landslide victory against Parkes the week prior, the team had high expectations for this match.
Murray Walker, a ling time right back, being unavailable for this encounter, Mitchell Wheatley stood up to take his place, Christian played on the left with Ben and Jarrod, 'I woke up fresh as a daisy' Draffin, playing in the center of defense.
Deano started in goals and was forced into some early saves, but it wasn't long before the Stingers were 2 nil down.
George started left midfield with Tim and Luke in the centre positions.
Amber started on the right, and with her runs down the sidelines, the team felt confident in it's attack. Amber was showing more fancy footwork than Reg McCormack from the movie Footloose.
Up front 'Andy Pandy' was partnering Conner Day, and on the bench was Brett, Antonio and Jonny.
Conner and Ben managed to put points on the score sheet, but Forbes scored another and the team went into the break 3-2 down.
With such a great crowd on the sideline could the team fire up to win the second half?
The second half was much of the same with Forbes scoring two more goals, however George managed to skillfully get one back but it wasn't enough. The game finished 5-3.
This loss was more disappointing than when Mighty Mouse lost his run at the US election. Apparently Mighty Mouse in the White House didn't catch on.
Tim Walker was awarded 'Man off the Match'.
Special thanks must go to the wonderful staff at the Royal hotel and the Grenfell Meat Barn for their ongoing sponsorship.
