Once again Grenfell were among the finalists where after three grueling days, Alison was awarded District Singles Runner Up. Congratulations to all, especially Ali for adding yet another medal to our ever growing tally.
On Saturday, our Ladies travelled to Boorowa for our first Pennant game. Expectations were high, the weather was amazing and our supporters, as always, were there to spur us on.
Thank you to our male counterparts for your endless support and to Martin for driving the bus. Both teams performed well to win their individual games, giving us an overall win and a great start towards the Regionals. With one forfeit and one win, we only need one more win to make it through! Well done Ladies!
Our next Pennant game will be held at Grenfell on the 27th April. Pennant practice will be held this Thursday, April 18, at 10am.
ALL players are expected and encouraged to attend. For those who are unavailable, please notify a member of the Match Committee. (Rosemary Walter, Courtney Hunter or Judy McAlister). Also, don't forget that as of April 16, we will be adding an extra training session every Tuesday at 1.30pm.
As mentioned in my past newsletter, we now have enough members to field a Triples and a Fours Championship. Nomination forms are on the board near the men's notification board. For those of you who may be looking for a pleasant few hours out in this glorious weather, pop down for the Finals of our Club Championship Singles between Kathy Betcher and Courtney Hunter. The game will be played this Wednesday (today) at 10.30am. Good luck ladies.
New bowlers are most welcome and we now have free coaching available for anyone who is interested. Please contact the club on 63431656 to make an appointment with either Kathy or Martin Betcher. There is no age limit, no uniform and no equipment required. You don't even need shoes! Just turn up on a Tuesday at 1.30pm, or Thursday at 10am or Saturday at 2pm and we can guarantee that you and your bare feet will have a ball! Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Easter and best wishes to our birthday girl of the week, Sharyn Bradkte. Sandy P

INDOOR BOWLS-
Last week the Grenfell Indoor Bowlers saw two teams battle it out with the following results:
Jeannies team narrowly defeated Pats team in a very close match. It was good to see Audrey back, and Edith, who is a new player also coming along and having a roll-up. By the way if Edith continues to play we will all have to smarten up!! It was a great afternoon with 9 players participating. Indoor Bowls starts at 1.15pm for 1.30pm start each Tuesday at the Bowling Club, anyone interested in playing will be made most welcome. Hope to see Inka and Mary back soon!
