Congratulations to The Henry Lawson High School swimmer Tom Robinson who won the gold medal in the 17-19 years 50m freestyle event at the Combined High Schools Swimming Championships last week. Tom was the fastest qualifier into the event and won the final in a very fast time of 24.64 seconds, only 13 tenths of a second outside his PB, with less than half a second between the first and fifth place getters. The Western Region team were extremely excited as this is the first individual gold medal for the region for many years. Tom was in Adelaide earlier this week for the Age Nationals where he will have faced some of his toughest competition yet. Watch this space for results. Good Luck Tom.
