With approximately 500 exhibits in attendance, this is the largest Miniature Horse event in the southern hemisphere and attracts competitors from as far as WA.
Grenfell bred, born, raised and trained mare Badlands Rhythm N Blues was awarded National Grand Champion on the amateur owner/trainer day by South Australian judge Carolyn Potts, and then followed that up a few days later by being sashed National Grand Champion as well as National Supreme Champion in the open division by judge Karen Iversen from Florida, USA.

Proving just how versatile she is, Badlands Rhythm N Blues followed up her halter wins by winning the Novice Hunter Jumper class too.
Badlands Disco Diva was not the judges' pick this year, with no major wins in her halter events, but her athleticism shone through as always and she was sashed National Reserve Grand Champion in the performance events (jumping and trail/obstacle).
