We had a very quiet week this week.
Unfortunately Boorowa forfeited our Saturday Pennant match, but this did not stop our ladies persevering with our training schedule.
We had a good roll up on Thursday, where Kathy had painstakingly set up a consistency circuit challenge.
This was a great opportunity to hone our accuracy skills.
On Saturday we had enough players to form two complete teams and go head to head in a faux pennant challenge.
Thanks to all ladies who give up their time to attend practice.
If a strong, competitive team consists of commitment and comradery, we should easily make it through to the State play offs!
Our next scheduled game is to be played at Boorowa on Saturday April 13.
The teams for this game are S. Paine, A. Cutcliffe, K. Betcher and C. Hunter and S. Bradtke, J. McAlister, S. Gault and R. Walter.
Pennant practice will be held on Thursday along with our social bowls. All bowlers are urged to attend.
As of April 16, we will be adding an extra training session every Tuesday at 1.30pm.....so why not pop down to the club for a game of bingo, a beverage and then out onto the green for some social activity?
Also, as of Saturday April 20, our ladies play day will change from 6pm to 2pm.
This allows for the cooler, darker weather but still allows time for a pleasant dinner for those that would like to stay afterwards.
Our Thursday social bowls will remain at a 10am start.
It is so good to see our ladies club family expanding!
New players are encouraged by our friendly, relaxed atmosphere and our new uniforms are a far cry from the staunch, clinical whiteness of yesteryear!
For the first time in a long time, we are actually able to field a Club Triples and a Club Fours Championship!
For those who would like to hone their skills or maybe take up a new sport, we now have free coaching available.
Please contact the club on 63431656 to make an appointment with either Kathy or Martin Betcher. I
t was also encouraging to see so many ladies turn up for our monthly meeting.
Everything runs much smoother when there are more people offering their suggestions and ideas.
The selection of our winter uniform was a classic example.
It was decided unanimously to purchase club jackets to match our new shirts.
For those who were unable to attend the meeting but would like to order a jacket, please contact Kathy or Courtney.
Our next meeting will be held on May 18 at 2.30pm.
