With a number of local residents having already installed the system they are now experiencing a high quality internet service which has made a huge difference not only to their online connectivity but also their mobile phone reception.
The NB-Tec LongReach R600A Wireless Outdoor Unit provides connection to the Internet using commercial LTE 4G wireless services provided by carriers such as Telstra, Optus or Vodafone.
The unit consists of an integrated high gain directional antenna, radio transmitter/receiver, data modem and a SIM card reader. It is installed on the outside of your premises and can be attached to your television antenna pole, an existing UHF antenna pole, premises barge board or any nearby tall structure such as a tank stand or windmill tower.
An Ethernet cable runs from the unit to inside the premises and carries both the data and power (48VDC) to operate the device. Inside the premises, the R600A is powered by a Power Injector Unit and is connected to the WAN port of an existing or 3rd party internal home router equipped with Ethernet ports and/or WiFi to distribute Internet connectivity throughout the premises.
This setup allows the use of Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) voice calling premises wide, using compatible mobile phones.
