Rosemary is a stalwart of our club and is able to step into any role at a moments notice.
She has (and still does) wear many hats for our ladies club as well as being a competitive bowler.
Even though Rosemary is still on our Management Committee, we would like to take this opportunity to thank her for role as Publicity Officer.
A job very well done!
It was lovely to see the ladies out on the greens in their new uniforms this week.
Friday evening saw loyal supporters enjoying lazy breezes, cooler temperatures and a great game of bowls.
The second round of the Club Pairs is underway which ultimately saw K. betcher and S. Paine fighting their way through to the semi finals with a hard earned win over R. Walter and S. Ingall.
With neither team willing to concede their hard earned shots, it was a long game as each team slowly forged ahead point by point.
Congratulations ladies on an exciting game and judging by the smiles and laughter emanating from the green, a very friendly one as well.
There is one more semi final to be played where J. Hughes and A. Cutcliffe will take on S. Bradtke and J. Wood.
The Club Singles are also well on their way with C. Hunter to play A. Cutcliffe for the final round of the semi finals.
For anyone who would like to watch this event, it will be played on Wednesday 20th at 4pm.
Our social bowls are played on a Saturday evening at 6.30.
Even though this is our Ladies play day, it is well patronised by our male counterparts and new faces are always welcome.
No uniform or bowls are required, just turn up and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and then maybe pop into the club for dinner afterwards. I
