The Rural Resilience Program defines resilience as a 'process' rather than an outcome or personality trait and acknowledges that levels of resilience among farmers and their families can be impacted by adverse events.
The team works proactively in partnership with farming communities and service providers across NSW to strengthen networks, exchange information and deliver relevant initiatives that build personal and business resilience skills and knowledge, enabling people to move forward in a positive direction by providing a number of support services.
The information session will take place on Monday February 25 at the Grenfell Bowling Club at 7pm.
The night is aimed to provide Shire residents with advice on what is available in terms of funding, assistance, counselling services and to answer any questions the community may have in regards to drought assistance.
Council is inviting all Shire residents to attend.
Please RSVP to Council by Friday February 22, 2019 by contacting Katherine@weddin.nsw.gov.au or phone 02 6343 1212.
