Attracting over 220 swimmers from across the Mountains and Plains swimming region, our local team of Mikayla Hughes, Xanthe Johnson, Ella, Niamh and George Mitton and Tom and Harry Robinson came away with a swag of PB’s, medals, some records and a trophy!
Results were –
Mikayla Hughes
PB’s in the 50m backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle and 100m breaststroke, freestyle and a huge 6.56 seconds of her 100m backstroke.
Xanthe Johnson
PB’s in the 50m backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke, 100m breaststroke and freestyle and 200m IM
Ella Mitton
PB’s in the 50m backstroke and breaststroke and 100m breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke.
Ella took over 5 seconds off her PB’s in both the 100m freestyle and backstroke races.
George Mitton

There was great excitement amongst the Grenfell camp when it was announced the Tom had broken three records in his age division as follows:
*the 50m butterfly record in a time of 27.11 seconds,
*the 50m freestyle record in a time of 25.10 seconds and
*the 100m freestyle record in a time of 55.39 seconds.
Tom was also named champion 16 years male swimmer. Congratulations Tom, this is a terrific achievement.
