Shire kindies start

There’s been some nervous excitement and a few tears shed as kindergarten students start a new chapter of their lives in Grenfell and around the Weddin Shire.

With brand new uniforms and oversized backpacks in tow, the students had their first day of school last week.

Grenfell Public School saw 30 new kindergarten students commence with St Joseph’s Primary School seeing 5 new faces start kindergarten in 2019.

The kindergarten students look forward to settling into the school routine after being welcomed by their new teachers and peers.

Quandialla Public School has three new kindie students; Kate Johnston, Storm McKay and Alexiah Daley-Lahay.

K12 teacher Mr Ferris has had an influx of students and now has 13 students and new Quandialla teacher Mrs Briggs is very impressed with the wonderful students at QPS.

Caragabal Public School has two new kindergarten students Hudson Forde and Nicholas Penfold who are both very excited to be starting big school.

Hudson and Nicholas both loved solving the classroom puzzle K12 teacher Miss Macdonald gave them and look forward to completing more school work and taking part in extra curricular activities.
