President Coral Mitton welcomed 75 members and asked Foundation member, Merle Hughes, to read a Probus grace.
Rosalie White, Social Secretary, read out birthdays and wedding anniversaries for the month with Brian McDonald being the recipient of the Lucky Birthday Draw. Congratulations Brian.
Other announcements were that Jan Holland and Dot Fitzpatrick had visited THLHS to present the engraved trophies to the Speech Contest winners and Jenni Wells shared news of the activities of the Royal Far West.
Newest members, Valerie Glanville and Ann Amour cut our Christmas Cake which was made and decorated by Coral Mitton. Thank you ladies.
The Lucky Door Prize, won by June Waters, was organised by Joan Eppelstun, who also provided sweets for the tables. Thank you Joan.
President Coral also expressed thanks to all involved in the preparation, to the caterers and to the Club who provided Christmas decorations for the table and supplied Christmas back ground music.
Grenfell Combined Probus Club will welcome it’s members back for 2019 next Monday at the first meeting for the year.
Membership fees of $25 pp in an envelope, please, are due at the January meeting.
Our first meeting for 2019 will be held on Monday, January 21.
Esma and Ted Baker and Bev and Allen Kelly are on the Morning Tea Roster and Mavis Drogemuller and Ann Amour will be on the Door Roster.
Probus always welcomes expressions of interest to join us for Friendship, Fellowship and Fun.
Probus is a great way to meet new friends as well as attending some fun and exciting outings throughout the year.
