PLAYGROUP PARTY: On December 16, 2018, Playgroup concluded a wonderful year with their annual Christmas Party. Families shared some yummy treats and the kids had endless fun thanks to the Lions jumping castle. The day was topped by a special visit from Santa, who had a little gift and bag of treats for all.
Playgroup said farewell to their graduating friends, who are off to big school in 2019 and welcomed their new committee. Anna Brenner will take on the role of Coordinator, Emily Lynch will stay on as Secretary and Kristy Evers joins as Treasurer. A big thank you must go to the outgoing coordinator, Nicole Kilby, who has been a mainstay in the Playgroup team for many years; they value Nicole’s efforts so much.
Playgroup will resume for 2019 on February 04. Grenfell Playgroup meets every Monday of school term at the Grenfell Primary School Hall (access via Sullivan St) from 10 -12. They welcome all families with children aged 0-5 to join them for a mixture of free time and craft/activity as well as occasional special outings. A great weekly outing for both parents and kids to socialise and meet new people in a relaxed and supportive environment. Come along and take a peek, I'm sure everyone will enjoy!
EXPLORING THE WEST: Chris Compton from Lithgow and Dora Karavasilis of Northcote Vic enjoyed a two weeks trip exploring the west. They visited Mildura, Broken Hill, Mango National Park and had a stop-over checking out the wonderful history of Grenfell.
Chris, a guitarist and Dora a singer formed a two piece band ORMUS and enjoy playing at various venues.

Stephen was home with his wife Jessica and three children for Christmas and will be returning to Mumbai India in early January to continue working as a teacher at the International School.
