The Voices against Violence committee ran a small competition this year to ramp up interest for the local White Ribbon Day event asking businesses to decorate their shopfronts to assist in promoting the march as well as the ‘Grenfell says “NO” to Domestic & Family Violence’ campaign.
Competition and event organiser Elly Schiller, Grenfell Social Worker and member of Voices against Violence, said she was pleased with the support from local business houses and found it challenging to choose a winner.
“It was difficult to choose a winner as a number of businesses made such an awesome effort, however we could only choose one.” said Elly.
Congratulations goes to The Tin Cupboard for their outstanding efforts. Owner of The Tin Cupboard, Paige Martens, said she is in full support of the local Voices against Violence group.
"The Grenfell Voices against Violence committee do a great job in raising awareness of domestic violence, staff at The Tin Cupboard were only too happy to jump on board and support the local White Ribbon Day event." said Paige.
