Weddin Shire mayor Mark Liebich was on hand to officially reveal the new-look library which has just received a major upgrade thanks to a successful grant funding application submitted by librarian Erica Kearnes under the NSW Governments’ Public Library Infrastructure Grant.
And what a wonderful transformation, the library is now well equipped with new mobile shelving, a new children’s area and much more. Erica thanked all those who assisted her with the upgrades as well as those present for the re opening.
Following the official proceedings attendees enjoyed a morning tea with a surprise announcement from Jasmine Pipe, Friends of Grenfell Library (FOGL) president.
Jasmine was delighted to announce that FOGL had recently raised funds to be donated to the Grenfell Branch of the Country Education Foundation. Peter Spedding was on hand to receive the funding and thanked the FOGL committee very much for their generosity.
FOGL members are currently looking for extra committee members to join their small group. To find out more contact the library on 6343 1334.
